We are thrilled to announce the completion of the Midas Academy Sports Opportunity Survey for Houston, 2023. This comprehensive survey, rooted in data primarily sourced from the Department of Education, marks a significant step forward in our mission to support young athletes across the Houston Metro area. Our findings have shed light on specific regions where youth athletes, brimming with potential, are hindered by a lack of necessary resources and support to fully realize their athletic aspirations. Identifying these areas is crucial in our endeavor to direct resources effectively and make a meaningful impact.
The survey’s results are illuminating, highlighting the disparities in sports opportunities available to young athletes in various parts of Houston. It has become evident that certain communities are in dire need of both physical resources, such as equipment, and human resources, including coaches and volunteers. These findings are instrumental in guiding the efforts of Midas Academy to bridge the gap, ensuring that every young athlete, regardless of their background or location, has access to the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
