Mission: To mentor children and teenagers from becoming at-risk youth using the tools of soccer and vocational education to find their true purpose. 

Midas Football Academy is a mission-driven project that provides mentoring services to children and teenagers in Houston and its metropolis. We use the tool of soccer as a focus in three areas to discourage at-risk tendencies and provide a purposeful life path for our youths.

Making soccer a Right to play for everyone interested in the sport with pathways to professional football, higher education and vocational certification.

Eliminating behavioral issues and promoting character development & personal purpose.

Discouraging obesity by promoting a healthy lifestyle results in a good community citizen and eliminating mental health challenges among youths.

MFA served over 250 children, teenagers, and young adults in 2023 alone, through our various outreach programs.

The Critical Issues Affecting Our Community: 

In our community comprising Fort Bend, Harris, and Brazoria Counties, crime rates among youth are alarmingly high, with an average of 5 to 8 teenagers aged 14 to 18 involved in criminal activities daily. Our research indicates a significant link between these behaviors and the absence of positive role models and mentors. Midas Football Academy has embraced football (soccer) and vocational education as powerful tools to counteract this trend and offer these young people constructive alternatives to criminal involvement.

Every day, we see teenagers risking their futures through criminal acts—ranging from theft to drug abuse and violence. At Midas Football Academy, our mission is to divert these at-risk youth from the path leading to incarceration, which is all too common in the United States. We aim to transform their lives by bringing football, vocational training, and mentorship into underserved areas, demonstrating the possibilities beyond the streets.

We believe that football (soccer) can teach vital life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and persistence, while vocational training offers practical skills for employment and becoming a business owner. Our comprehensive approach not only aims to keep youth out of crime but also helps them become valuable, contributing members of society. By expanding their horizons through sports and mentorship, we provide these young individuals with the tools to make better choices, pursue legitimate careers, and build a positive future.

The Solution we offer: 

• Soccer for Empowerment: We use soccer as a powerful catalyst for personal growth, teaching our participants vital life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Through the joy of the game, we inspire confidence and resilience in our youth.

• Vocational Education: In addition to soccer excellence, we provide comprehensive vocational education that equips our participants with practical skills and knowledge. This empowers them to break free from cycles of crime, opening doors to meaningful careers and brighter futures. 

• Mentorship and Guidance: We believe in the transformative impact of positive role models and personalized support. Our mentorship and counseling programs nurture self-esteem, emotional well-being, and informed decision-making, reinforcing our participants’ pathways to success. 

• Community Connection: We actively engage with families and communities to build a strong, supportive network. Together, we create a safe and nurturing environment that instills a sense of belonging, unity, and social responsibility. 

• Crime Reduction: By investing in the potential of our youth, we contribute to the reduction of crime in our neighborhoods. We firmly believe that when we empower individuals with purpose, they become agents of positive change within their communities

• Holistic Development: We are committed to the holistic development of our participants, focusing not only on their athletic and vocational pursuits but also on their personal and academic growth. We guide them to become well-rounded, responsible citizens.

Our Programs: 

Rising Stars: Rising Stars is a monthly athlete and youth mentoring program that emphasizes the importance of a purpose-driven life and the instrumental role sports can play in shaping a brighter future for youths in the community and beyond. Every month, the program serves 80 to 100 teenagers 18 years and below.

Crossing Bridges: is an underserved community outreach program designed as a communal gathering, inviting residents of all backgrounds to unite in a spirit of unity and shared responsibility. It creates an environment where neighbors can connect, share experiences, and offer mutual support in a soccer atmosphere. 

5K Fun Run and Walk against Childhood Obesity: Started in the fall in fall of 2024, organization took a serious step towards awareness for obesity among young people. The goal of this event is to raise funds to help teenage boys and girls develop structured athletic activities in the community to reduce obesity, eliminate behavioral issues and soccer to more underserved areas. It is going to be a yearly event and we are always seeking collaboration from corporate, individuals and community leaders to partner with us in making this project a success and to enable us sustain it.  Research shows that obesity is the second leading cause of death in America and one in five American kids and young adult are obese.

Mentorship through Soccer Program: We aim to work with elementary and middle schools within the three counties we serve to bring to them our mentorship through soccer program that will be offered to interested young people to spread our message further. Through these efforts, we aim to engage more youth, providing them with the tools and support needed to make better life choices and build a brighter future.

The Need to keep the work going: The likelihood of our organization providing these needed services to our community at this proposed level is slim without your support. We are continuously seeking grants; donation and sponsorship to enable us recruit 3 full-time coaches and 5 part-time vocational trainers in always demanding field of Auto Mechanics, Fashion Designing and Computer related industry to make the impact of our work obvious and give us the speed to achieve our goals of creating great citizens with character and empathy for their community. With more coaches comes more sessions on the field and the classroom mentoring. Getting the youths involved in more soccer matches and tournaments, group and personal mentoring sessions has showed that 90% of participants Increase their interest in sports participation and engaging in more meaningful things in the communities.
